Job Summary

As an SDR, you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities by identifying, researching, and engaging high-potential prospects. You will map territories, suggest and prioritize target customers, perform outbound outreach (emails, LinkedIn), qualify leads, and book meetings for our Account Executives. This is an entry-to-mid-level role ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a hunter mentality who thrives in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.  This role requires 2-3 days in our Toronto offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct territory mapping and account research to identify ideal customer profiles (ICP) within assigned geographic or vertical territories.
  • Build and maintain targeted prospect lists using tools like LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, company databases, and internal CRM.
  • Execute outbound prospecting campaigns via email, social selling, and multi-channel sequences to generate interest and create conversations.
  • Qualify leads by assessing fit, need, budget, authority, and timing.
  • Schedule and book qualified meetings for Account Executives.
  • Nurture early-stage leads through follow-up sequences and personalized outreach.
  • Track all activities, update CRM records accurately, and report on pipeline metrics (e.g., calls, emails sent, meetings booked).
  • Collaborate with marketing on inbound lead follow-up and campaign support when needed.
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly KPIs (e.g., meetings booked, qualified opportunities created).
  • You will lead with a focus on Complex, but you will also be involved in sales activities for other Ideon Media properties.

Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates with experience working in or selling to Canadian media buying agencies.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in sales, outbound prospecting, business development, or a customer-facing role (entry-level candidates with strong potential considered).
  • Proven track record of hitting activity or results-based targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research and organizational skills; ability to prioritize high-value targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Boostr) and sales tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email automation like Apollo).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and coachable with a positive, competitive attitude.
  • The nature of this role requires analytical capabilities in order to optimize the efforts of the Account Executives.
